Each month All Hands will share a post of events from around Taiwan. These events will span networking, professional learning, community gatherings, hiring, seminars, happy hours, and more. This will be a living list and is by no means comprehensive. If you know of a great event that should be included, please send us a message to let us know.
*Unless noted, most of these events are in English, but we have not attended all of these series before. You should look into the event if you have any language concerns.
2/5 – 1st MemBEERship Bar Crawl – Join this free pub crawl, stopping at 6 Taipei bars. The MemBEERship card supports both the All Hands non-profit as well as dozens of local restaurants and bars. The crawl is open to all, but the best discounts will be available to cardholders - and the card will be available at the event. (Free)
2/7 – Digital Transformation for Restaurants in Taiwan – During this event, we will take you through some of the key methods that you can use in your business to enhance your operational efficiency, multiply your sales, and open doors to newer market segments and target markets as restaurants in Taiwan. (Free, includes dinner)
2/9 – When Working Out is Work – Fitness professionals go far beyond gym teachers to include trainers, coaches, wellness practitioners and more. Many - but not all - non-Taiwanese in these roles are also entrepreneurs. We'll hear from them about the opportunities and struggles that abound in managing their businesses, clients, and teams. (NTD $300, includes one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink)
2/10 – Launch a Blog in less than Two Hours – Learn how to create and launch a static blog with Gatsby that can scale to millions of visitors. This workshop is conducted in English and is beginner-friendly. No prior development experience necessary. (Free)
2/17 – Making Websites Run Faster & Environmentally-Friendly – After this workshop you'll have a better understanding of why a fast, optimized website can benefit your business, help SEO, and lower environmental impact. You'll leave with some easy optimizations you can start applying to your own websites right away. You can also share your website when you register for this event. We will pick a few websites to go over and explore how they can be improved for performance and environmental impact. (Free)
2/20 – Australia Day and Waitangi Day Family BBQ + AGM – Join the annual National Day Family BBQ celebrating both Australia Day and Waitangi Day and our Annual General Meeting. All members in the Australia-New Zealand community both big and small are encouraged to join for a fun afternoon (Members $1,200; Non-Members $1,500 includes food and drink)
2/22 – Office Hours with Xiri Attorneys – *Please note that office hours are usually run in-person but due to pandemic considerations, sessions are being conducted virtually.* Get real legal advice for your business for a small donation that also buys you a half-day pass to Futureward co-working space. (NTD $300, includes one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink)
2/23 – Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting – CCCT will be holding the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the 23rd of February. If you’re not a member yet, or if you need to renew, you can register and pay for 2022 membership at the reception. (Free for members; NTD $600 for non-members, refreshments will be served)
2/24 – Website Monitoring for CEOs and Leaders – In this workshop, you'll learn how to setup monitoring to handle 80% of technical issues. By the end of the workshop, you'll be ready to take online courses on web development. (Free)
